What We Believe

  • We believe there is one God, infinitely perfect and eternally existent in the persons of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. (Matthew 28:19)
  • We believe the Bible is God’s Word to all people. Fully inspired by God, it was written by human authors and we accept it as the supreme and final authority for faith and life and is relevant to our daily lives. (2 Timothy 3:16)
  • We believe the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His atoning death through his shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and his personal return in power and glory. (John 1:1-4;10-17)
  • We believe God created man in His own image, that man sinned and thereby incurred the penalty of sin, which is death (physical and spiritual). We believe that all humans beings inherit a sinful nature, which can only be forgiven by the blood of Lord Jesus Christ. (Genesis 1:26-27;3:2-3; 1 Peter 1:18-19)
  • We believe in order to become a child of God you must be born again. This takes place by confessing your belief in Jesus Christ and is witnessed by the Holy Spirit. (John 3:16; Romans 10:10)
  • We believe salvation is by grace, through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 2:8)
  • We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, who abides in every believer and by His indwelling, the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. We believe the Holy Spirit provides one or more spiritual gifts to all believers, manifesting them as He wills. We believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit are in operation today in the Church. (John 14:15-26; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11)
  • We believe in the resurrection of both the just and the unjust, the eternal blessedness of the redeemed, and the eternal banishment of those who have rejected the offer of salvation. (Matthew 25:32; Acts 17:31; 1 Corinthians 15)
  • We believe Jesus will return to the Earth to gather His Church to carry us to our heavenly home. (Hebrews 9:28; 1 Corinthians 1:51-52)
  • We believe in one universal Church, which is the Body of Christ, with Christ, the head, and all born again believers as members. (Matthew 16:18-19; Colossians 1:18; 1 Corinthians 12:12-31)
  • We believe the Church’s purpose is to offer worship to God, to fellowship, to conduct ministry and instruction to itself, and to evangelize and serve the world. (Acts 2:42; Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; James 1:27)
  • We believe in the divinely ordained ministries: apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers. (Acts 10:44-46; Ephesians 4:11-16)
  • We believe in water baptism for all believers in obedience to our Lord Jesus Christ. (Mark 16:16)
  • We believe in the importance of regular participation of communion as directed by Word of God. (1 Corinthians 11:17-34)
  • We believe in the sanctity of human life and that life begins at the moment of conception. (Genesis 1:26-27; Psalm 139:13)
  • We believe in chastity for Christian single men and women, and the sacredness of Christian marriage. We define marriage as a union between one man and one woman. (Genesis 2:23-24; Romans 1:20-32)
